Not Our Homeland (2017)

The Rohingya Muslims have lived in Rakhine State in Myanmar for generations and for generations they have been systematically facing repression and violence. Now, far more Rohingya live outside of Myanmar, in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, than remain in what they know as their homeland. Since August 2017, over 800 000 Rohingya Muslims, have fled to Bangladesh as a result of ruthless massacre, arson and rape campaign led by authorities and militaries in the state of Rakhine. It was aimed at average people but also strongly targeted at those influencing the Rohingya community – teachers, cultural and religious leaders in order to annihilate the Rohingya culture and history.
